Facial harmonization in Bogotá

Proportion before volume · no one notices the procedure

Facial harmonization is a medical plan that combines injectables and, when needed, threads to balance the proportions of the face. It doesn’t aim to change your face or follow a template: it aims to get your features back in conversation with each other. At iki it’s done in phases and with little product · the goal is to look rested, not worked on.

In short

Facial harmonization is a plan that combines minimally invasive treatments, such as botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid in the cheekbones, chin and jaw, MINT threads or non-surgical nose reshaping, to balance the proportions of the face without surgery. At iki, in Bogotá, a physician analyzes the whole face, decides what to treat first and works in phases, with little product. Results vary from patient to patient.

Who it’s for · and who it isn’t

Indicated when

  • A face that has lost proportion over the years: flat cheekbones, a blurred jawline or a receding chin
  • People who prefer several small improvements to one big change in a single area
  • Anyone who wants a result no one identifies as a procedure
  • Mild asymmetries that can be balanced with volume or toxin

Not the right time if

  • Anyone who wants to change their face or look like someone else · that isn’t harmonization
  • Severe sagging with excess skin · the indication is surgical
  • Pregnancy, breastfeeding, active infection or cold sores in the area
  • Expecting to solve everything in a single session

The physician makes the final indication at the consultation. Results vary from patient to patient.

Facial harmonization in Bogotá · how it’s done at iki

Harmonizing isn’t adding treatments. It’s putting them in order: first what gives structure, then what softens, always with the option to stop once the face is in balance.

  1. Whole-face consultation

The physician analyzes proportions, bone structure, fat, skin and expression, at rest and in motion. They explain what can be improved, what is best left alone and in what order, in a written plan.

  2. Phase one · structure

It usually starts with support: higher-density hyaluronic acid in the cheekbones, chin or jaw, with a cannula or fine needle and in small amounts.

  3. Phase two · expression and detail

Botulinum toxin for the forehead, frown lines or masseter and, if the plan includes it, MINT threads or non-surgical nose reshaping. Time is left between phases to see how each one settles.

  4. Follow-up and adjustment

At 2–3 weeks after each phase, the result is reviewed with clinical photos. Adjustments are made only if needed · the plan often ends sooner than expected.

What it offers

Proportion, not quantity

Small changes at the points that support the face usually bring more harmony than a lot of product in one area.

In phases

Treating in phases lets us see how the face responds and stop in time. It’s the safest way to avoid an overfilled face.

Reversible volume

Hyaluronic acid can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if something doesn’t turn out as planned.

A plan, not a menu

Each tool has its indication. If an area doesn’t need it, it doesn’t go into the plan · even if it’s on the menu.

The tools of harmonization

Harmonization is built with medical-grade products. Botulinum toxin for expression. Hyaluronic acid gels of different densities: Voluma for the cheekbones and chin, Volux for the jaw and chin, Volift for areas that call for less projection. MINT polydioxanone (PDO) threads for the nose or to reposition tissue. The physician chooses each product according to the area and the tissue · not one syringe for everything.

Results and aftercare

Hyaluronic acid volume shows from the session and settles in about two weeks; the toxin starts working between day 3 and day 7. The result of the full plan is assessed once all the phases have settled. Each component lasts for its own length of time, and maintenance is decided at follow-up, not by calendar. Harmonization improves proportions · it doesn’t change who you are.

Aftercare after the session

  • Intermittent cold compresses for the first few hours
  • Don’t massage the treated areas unless the physician tells you to
  • Avoid intense exercise, saunas and heat for 24–48 hours
  • Don’t lie down or tilt your head forward for the first 4 hours after toxin
  • Seek care right away if you notice intense pain, paleness or a change in skin color
  • Daily sunscreen

Results vary from patient to patient.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly is facial harmonization?

It’s a plan that combines several minimally invasive treatments to balance the proportions of the face: botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid, MINT threads or non-surgical nose reshaping, depending on what each face needs. It isn’t a single procedure or a fixed package. It’s a diagnosis of the whole face translated into phases.

Will people notice I had something done?

The goal is that they won’t. We work with little product, in phases and respecting your own features, so people close to you usually notice a more rested face without being able to say what changed. If what you have in mind requires an obvious change, we’ll tell you at your consultation.

How many sessions does facial harmonization take?

It’s usually done in 2 or 3 phases a few weeks apart, so each treatment settles before the next. The actual number depends on your starting point and what you decide to treat. Some people only need one phase · and we tell them so.

How is it different from surgery?

Surgery changes structures in a lasting way and requires an operating room and recovery. Harmonization works on volume, expression and support without incisions, with temporary effects. It doesn’t make a nose smaller or remove excess skin. When the indication is surgical, we say so at the consultation, even if that means not treating you.

Does facial harmonization hurt?

A topical anesthetic is used and many gels contain lidocaine. Most people feel pressure and brief pinpricks; the nose and chin tend to be more sensitive than the cheekbone. Afterward there may be mild swelling or a bruise, which usually clears within a few days.

How much does facial harmonization cost in Bogotá?

There’s no single price, because it isn’t a package: it depends on the areas, the product and the amount each face requires, and on whether it’s done in one phase or several. At your consultation you receive the plan with the full written price, phase by phase. Your consultation at iki is free · 45 minutes.

Who shouldn’t have facial harmonization?

It isn’t done during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with an infection or active cold sores in the area, or with uncontrolled autoimmune disease. It’s also not the answer to severe sagging with excess skin. And if the expectation is to change your face completely, we’d rather say so at the consultation than inject any product.

How long do the results last?

Each component has its own timeline. Toxin usually lasts a few months; hyaluronic acid in the cheekbones or jaw usually lasts longer, depending on the product and metabolism; threads are reabsorbed and leave collagen around them. Maintenance is decided at follow-up, not by calendar. Results vary from patient to patient.
