Double chin enzymes
A defined contour · without surgery
Double chin enzymes are micro-injections of recombinant enzymes that help reduce localized fat under the chin. When the skin needs to tighten, they are combined with HIFU. They work on localized fat · they don’t replace weight loss, or surgery when there is excess skin.

Double chin enzymes are a non-surgical treatment that uses micro-injections to deliver recombinant enzymes, which help break down localized fat under the chin so the body can eliminate it. At iki they are combined with Liftera HIFU when the skin needs tightening. It takes several sessions, discomfort is low and improvement is progressive. It does not replace weight loss.

- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- A double chin that isn’t fat · glands, bone structure or muscle need a different diagnosis
The physician makes the final indication at the consultation. Results vary from patient to patient.
What double chin enzyme treatment at iki looks like
The first step is confirming that the double chin is fat and not another structure. Only then does it make sense to apply enzymes.
Contour assessment
The physician examines your neck from the front and in profile, estimates how much is fat and how much is laxity, and reviews your medical history.
Marking the area
The fat area under the chin is outlined so the product is applied only where it needs to act.
Enzyme micro-injections
Recombinant enzymes are applied with fine needles. They help metabolize fat, reorganize collagen fibers and drain the area.
HIFU when indicated
If the skin needs to tighten, Liftera HIFU is added to the plan. Focused ultrasound helps tighten the skin over the new contour.
Follow-up
Progress is reviewed between sessions, and the number of sessions is adjusted to your response.
What it offers
Reduces localized fat
It acts on persistent fat under the chin and on the neck. The profile looks more defined.
A cleaner jawline
As the double chin decreases, the jawline becomes more visible. The change is gradual and proportionate.
No surgery, no downtime
No operating room, no cannulas. Most patients return to their activities the same day.
Fat and skin in one plan
The enzymes work on the fat and HIFU on firmness. Treating only one leaves the result half done.
Technology with an indication

Recombinant enzymes · Liftera HIFU
Recombinant enzymes combine lipase, collagenase and hyaluronidase: the first helps metabolize fat, the second organizes collagen fibers and the third acts as a drainage agent. They act where they are applied. When the plan calls for it, Liftera HIFU adds focused ultrasound to tighten the skin after the fat is reduced.
Results and aftercare
Changes are often seen from the first session, but the result builds over several. Fat is eliminated progressively, and the skin needs weeks to adapt to the new contour. The result holds best when your weight stays stable. If your weight goes up, the double chin can store fat again.
Aftercare after the session
- Massage only if the physician tells you to
- Avoid intense exercise, sauna and alcohol for the first 24 hours
- Stay well hydrated during the plan
- Local cold if there is swelling or tenderness
- Daily sunscreen on the face and neck
Results vary from patient to patient.

See treatmentFrequently asked questions
Do double chin enzymes hurt?
Discomfort is low. You feel the prick of fine needles and brief pressure as the product is applied. Afterward, the area may be tender to the touch. If HIFU is added to the plan, you feel spots of heat in the area, which the physician regulates during the session.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the amount of fat and the quality of your skin. Changes are often seen after the first session, but the best result requires several. The number is set at the consultation and adjusted at follow-ups based on how each patient responds.
How long does each session take?
Between 45 minutes and an hour, depending on the areas treated and whether HIFU is combined that day. The enzyme application itself is quick; the time includes assessing the area, marking it and final aftercare.
What side effects can occur?
The usual ones are mild swelling, tenderness and, sometimes, small bruises at the injection points. They typically settle within a few days. Before starting, it’s important to share your medical history, allergies and medications, so the physician can confirm the treatment is safe for you.
Do enzymes work if I’m overweight?
They are not the indication for overweight or obesity. In that case, the double chin responds better once your weight is stable, and the treatment is saved to refine what remains. We’ll tell you clearly at the consultation, even if that means waiting.
How is this different from double chin liposuction?
Liposuction is surgery that removes fat with a cannula and has a longer recovery. Enzymes reduce fat progressively, without an operating room. When there is a lot of excess skin or fat, surgery may be the right option.
Can it be done during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
No. Neither enzymes nor HIFU are applied during pregnancy or breastfeeding. The double chin can change with the weight changes of this stage, so it’s best to assess the area afterward, once your body has stabilized.
How do I know if my double chin is fat?
With a medical exam. Sometimes the volume under the chin is laxity, a gland or bone structure, and enzymes don’t act on that. Your consultation at iki is free · 45 minutes · with a diagnosis and a written plan.
