Enzymes for stubborn fat

Contouring small areas · not a weight-loss shortcut

Lipolytic enzymes are micro-injections that help reduce small fat deposits that don’t respond to diet or exercise, such as the flanks, lower abdomen, or inner arms and thighs. They work best when you are close to a stable weight. They don’t replace nutrition, exercise, or surgery when the volume is large.

In short

Enzymes for stubborn fat, also called lipolytic or fat-dissolving enzymes, are micro-injections that help break down small fat deposits so the body can eliminate them. At iki they are applied to the abdomen, flanks, back, arms or thighs, in 6-session packages and, if the skin needs it, with NuEra Tight. They are not a weight-loss treatment; results vary from patient to patient.

  • Anyone who would rather avoid liposuction for a small volume

  • Anticoagulants, clotting disorders, or active liver, kidney or autoimmune disease without medical clearance

The physician makes the final indication at the consultation. Results vary from patient to patient.

What treatment with enzymes for stubborn fat at iki looks like

The first step is knowing whether what you see is fat, skin laxity or fluid retention. Enzymes only act on fat.

  1. Consultation and measurements

The physician examines the area, estimates how much is fat and how much is laxity, and reviews your weight, habits, medications and history. Measurements and clinical photos are taken for comparison.

  2. Choosing the formula

Depending on the area and the goal, the physician chooses among enzyme formulas such as PB Serum (Slim, Smooth, 1st and 2nd generation), Lipid Enzyme, Adipo Enzima or Adipo Forte, and may add organic silicon when the skin needs firmness.

  3. Micro-injections

The area is marked and the product is applied with fine needles, only where it needs to act. It feels like brief pinpricks with some burning or pressure.

  4. Radiofrequency when indicated

When the skin needs to tighten over the new contour, the plan adds NuEra Tight in separate or alternating sessions.

  5. Follow-up

At each appointment, measurements and response are reviewed, and the formula, areas and number of sessions are adjusted.

Lipolytic enzymes · PB Serum and other formulas

At iki we work with enzymes of biological origin, such as PB Serum, which help break down fat in the fat cell and reorganize the surrounding tissue, as well as other lipolytic formulas such as Lipid Enzyme, Adipo Enzima and Adipo Forte. There is no device behind it: the precision lies in the diagnosis, the choice of product and the injection technique.

Results and aftercare

Changes are progressive and usually start to show after the first sessions; the result builds over the full plan. They show in centimeters and contour, not on the scale. If your weight goes up, the area can store fat again, so the result holds best with a stable weight, good nutrition and exercise.

Aftercare after the session

  • Expect swelling, tenderness and possible bruising for a few days · local cold helps
  • Avoid intense exercise, sauna and alcohol for the first 24 hours
  • Drink water and walk daily during the plan
  • Massage the area only if the physician tells you to
  • Keep up your nutrition and physical activity · the result depends on them

Results vary from patient to patient. Enzymes are not a weight-loss treatment and do not replace diet and exercise.

Frequently asked questions

Do lipolytic enzymes help you lose weight?

No. Enzymes are not a treatment for weight loss or obesity. They help reduce small fat deposits in specific areas and improve contour. The change is measured in centimeters, not kilos. If you are overweight, the honest approach is to work on your weight first and save the enzymes to refine what remains.

How many enzyme sessions will I need?

It depends on the area, the volume of fat and how you respond. At iki we work with 6-session packages, and some people notice changes from the first few. The final number is set at the consultation and adjusted at each follow-up based on your measurements. Results vary from patient to patient.

What side effects do enzymes have?

The usual ones are swelling, redness, tenderness to the touch and bruising at the injection points, which typically settle within a few days. Sometimes there is itching or a slightly hardened area that resolves on its own. Allergic reactions are uncommon; that’s why we review allergies and medications before we start.

Who shouldn’t have enzyme injections?

They are not applied during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with an infection or active lesions in the area, or with an allergy to the ingredients. With anticoagulants, clotting disorders, or active liver, kidney or autoimmune disease, medical clearance is required first. We review this in your medical history, not on the treatment table.

What’s the difference between enzymes and liposuction?

Liposuction is surgery that removes large volumes of fat in one procedure, with anesthesia and recovery. Enzymes reduce small deposits progressively, without an operating room. If the volume is large or there is a lot of excess skin, surgery may be the right option, and we’ll tell you so.

Why combine enzymes with NuEra Tight?

Enzymes work on the fat; NuEra Tight, a body radiofrequency, works on the firmness of the skin over it. When the fat decreases and the skin doesn’t tighten, the contour is only half done. Combining both, in separate or alternating sessions, aims for a more even result. Not every patient needs it.

Do enzyme injections hurt?

You feel brief pinpricks and some burning or pressure as the product goes in, more in sensitive areas such as the inner thighs or arms. Afterward, the area stays tender for a few days. The discomfort is usually tolerable and doesn’t require anesthesia.

How much do enzymes for stubborn fat cost?

It depends on the area, the formula chosen and the number of sessions. There are single sessions and 6-session packages. You receive written prices at the free consultation, along with your plan and your starting measurements. Your consultation at iki is free · 45 minutes.
