Who it’s for · and who it isn’t

Indicated when

  • Dull, dehydrated skin or uneven texture
  • Enlarged pores, blackheads and visible sebaceous filaments
  • Monthly maintenance between medical or device-based treatments
  • Preparing your skin before an event, with a few days to spare
  • Sensitive skin that does not tolerate aggressive extraction

Not the right time if

  • Skin laxity, deep wrinkles or volume loss · these call for another technology or an injectable
  • Severe inflammatory or cystic acne · medical management comes first
  • Rosacea flare, recent sunburn or irritated skin · it is postponed
  • Melasma or hormonally driven pigmentation as the only strategy · the Hydrafacial supports, it does not correct

The physician makes the final indication at the consultation. Results vary from patient to patient.

Hydrafacial in Bogotá · what a session at iki looks like

The Hydrafacial works in layers, and the same handpiece changes function: first it cleanses, then it extracts and finally it infuses. Before starting, a physician reviews your skin and decides the format and add-ons.

  1. Skin review

We identify your skin type, oiliness, sensitivity and what you expect. If anything suggests it is not the right time, we tell you that same day.

  2. Cleansing and exfoliation

The Vortex Fusion handpiece cleanses and removes dead cells with Activ-4 serum, gently and without harsh friction.

  3. Gentle peel and extraction

A light peel loosens pore contents and Beta-HD serum helps them come out. Vortex suction extracts impurities, sebum and blackheads without squeezing the skin.

  4. Hydration and infusion

Serums with hyaluronic acid and antioxidants are infused. Platinum adds preparation and closing steps, such as lymphatic drainage and LED light, depending on your skin.

  5. Protection and plan

Sunscreen is applied and, if needed, we set the maintenance frequency or the medical treatment that would pair best.

What it offers

Extraction without damaging the pore

Vortex suction removes impurities with less pressure than classic manual extraction, which reduces marks and irritation afterward.

Hydration you notice as you leave

Skin usually feels softer, cleaner and brighter from the same session.

Tolerable for sensitive skin

Serums and intensity are adjusted, which is why many reactive skins tolerate it better than a traditional cleansing.

Fits into a lunch hour

Sessions of 30 to 40 minutes, with no downtime. You can go back to work afterward.

Technology with an indication

Hydrafacial Elite device in the facial room at IKI Skin Experts

Hydrafacial Elite

The Hydrafacial Elite combines cleansing, gentle chemical exfoliation, vortex-suction extraction and serum infusion in one device. Its advantage is consistency: each step has controlled pressure and timing, which gives a more predictable result than manual cleansing. At iki it is used on its own or as the base of the Star Facial.

Results and aftercare

Afterward, skin usually looks cleaner, more hydrated and more even. It is a maintenance effect: it holds with your home routine and sessions every 4 to 6 weeks. The Hydrafacial improves surface skin quality · it does not firm, it does not fill and it does not erase hormonally driven pigmentation. When those are the goals, it becomes part of a medical plan with other treatments.

Aftercare after the session

  • Avoid makeup for the first few hours, ideally until the next day
  • Daily sunscreen, reapplied if you are exposed
  • Avoid sauna, steam and direct sun for the rest of the day
  • Pause exfoliants and retinoids at home for 24 to 48 hours
  • Keep the routine your physician recommends between sessions

Results vary from patient to patient.

Frequently asked questions

What does a Hydrafacial do for the skin?

It cleanses, exfoliates, extracts pore contents with suction and hydrates with hyaluronic acid and antioxidant serums. The effect is cleaner, softer, brighter skin. It works on the surface and in the pore. It does not meaningfully stimulate collagen or correct skin laxity or deep wrinkles.

How long does a Hydrafacial session take?

At iki, the Signature version takes about 30 minutes and the Platinum about 40. An Eye Perk or Lip Perk adds about 10 minutes, and additional manual extraction about 20. It helps to arrive without makeup, or with time to remove it before you start.

How often should you get a Hydrafacial?

For maintenance, every 4 to 6 weeks is usually recommended, following the skin’s natural renewal cycle. For oily skin or very clogged pores, the physician may suggest a shorter interval at first. Doing it more often does not give a proportionally better result.

What is the difference between Hydrafacial Signature and Platinum?

Signature is the base protocol: cleansing, exfoliation, extraction and hydration in about 30 minutes. Platinum takes about 40 minutes and adds preparation and closing steps, such as lymphatic drainage and LED light. The physician suggests one or the other based on your skin and goal, not on the price.

How is it different from the Star Facial?

The Hydrafacial is the device’s protocol on its own, 30 to 40 minutes. The Star Facial uses it as a base and adds the Casmara rituals: active-ingredient ampoules, a peel, ozone steam, LED light and a mask, in 12 steps and about 90 minutes. It is more complete and longer.

Does the Hydrafacial help with acne?

It helps with mild acne involving comedones and blackheads, because it cleanses and decongests the pore. For moderate or severe inflammatory acne it is not the main treatment: medical management comes first, and the Hydrafacial can be added later as maintenance. The consultation sets the right order.

How much does a Hydrafacial cost in Bogotá?

The price depends on the format, Signature or Platinum, on add-ons such as the Eye Perk, Lip Perk or manual extraction, and on whether it is a single session or a maintenance plan. You receive it in writing at the free consultation. Your consultation at iki is free · 45 minutes.

Can I have it during pregnancy or with darker skin?

Skin tone is not a limitation: the Hydrafacial uses no heat or light that affects pigment. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, some serums and the peel are swapped or left out, so mention it when you book. With recent sun exposure or irritated skin, it is postponed a few days.
