Bikini laser hair removal
Intimate area, discreet care · reduction session by session
At iki, bikini laser hair removal is done with Splendor X, in a private room, with clear explanations before we begin. You choose the coverage: classic, Brazilian or full, along with the intergluteal line. Hair reduction is progressive, and the folliculitis left by razors or wax usually decreases.

Bikini laser hair removal reduces hair in the intimate area with light absorbed by the pigment in the follicle. At iki it is done with Splendor X, which combines Alexandrite and Nd:YAG for fair and darker skin. Coverage can be classic, Brazilian or full, with the intergluteal line. The plan usually starts at 6 sessions; the reduction is progressive, and results vary from patient to patient.

What bikini laser hair removal at iki looks like
Before the first session, we talk through the coverage you want and how the procedure will go, so nothing comes as a surprise. Privacy is part of the protocol.
Consultation
We review your skin type, the color and thickness of your hair, medications, recent sun and hormonal history. If you have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) or another hormonal condition, we explain from the start how it can change the result.
Choosing the coverage
A classic bikini treats the sides and the underwear line. Brazilian leaves a strip or a triangle on the pubic area. Full treats the entire area. The intergluteal line is treated together with the bikini. You decide, and it can be adjusted at any session.
Session in a private room
You shave the area the day before. In the room, only the area being treated is uncovered; the rest stays covered. Splendor X’s Z-Cryo cooling protects the skin while the handpiece moves across the area with adjusted settings.
Between sessions
The treated hair sheds over the following days. Between appointments, shaving only. The next session is usually 45 to 60 days later, and settings are adjusted to how you respond.

Technology with an indication

Splendor X (Lumenis)
Splendor X emits two lasers simultaneously: Alexandrite (755 nm), highly effective on dark hair over fair skin, and Nd:YAG (1064 nm), which penetrates deeper and is gentler on skin with more pigment. The intimate area is often darker than the rest of the body, which is why being able to adjust the mix and the energy matters. Z-Cryo cooling makes a sensitive area more tolerable.
Results and aftercare
After each session, less hair grows back, and it grows back finer; ingrown hairs usually decrease. By the end of the initial plan, the usual outcome is a significant reduction, not the complete absence of hair. Some people need touch-ups over time. Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), pregnancy, menopause and other hormonal changes can stimulate new hair growth and change the result.
Aftercare after the session
- Wear cotton underwear and loose clothing on the day of the session
- Avoid sex, pool, sauna and intense exercise for 24 hours
- Moisturize with a gentle, fragrance-free cream
- No waxing, tweezing or depilatory creams between sessions · shaving only
- Avoid direct sun and tanning beds on the area
Results vary from patient to patient. Laser hair removal reduces hair progressively; there is no guarantee that it won’t grow back.

See treatmentFrequently asked questions
What’s the difference between a classic, Brazilian and full bikini?
Classic treats the sides and the underwear line, what would show in a swimsuit. Brazilian treats almost the entire area and leaves a strip or a triangle on the pubic area. Full treats the entire intimate area. At iki, the intergluteal line is treated together with the bikini. Coverage can be changed between sessions.
Does laser hair removal hurt in the intimate area?
It’s one of the most sensitive areas, especially in the first sessions, when the hair is coarser. Each pulse feels like a brief, prickling heat. Z-Cryo cooling protects the skin and makes the session more tolerable, and the energy is adjusted if the discomfort is high. As the plan progresses, the sensation usually eases.
I feel self-conscious · how is privacy handled?
It’s a common concern, and we take it seriously. The session is in a private room and only the area being treated is uncovered; the rest stays covered. Before we begin, we explain each step, and you can ask for a pause whenever you want. The care is clinical and discreet.
Can I have the session during my period?
Yes, if you feel comfortable. With a tampon or menstrual cup, the external area can be treated without a problem. Keep in mind that the skin is often more sensitive on those days, so the session may feel more intense. If you’d rather not come in, reschedule ahead of time and we’ll adjust the calendar.
Does laser hair removal help with folliculitis?
It usually helps. Folliculitis and ingrown hairs appear because razors or wax irritate the follicle and the hair grows inward. Reducing the hair reduces that irritation. If there are pustules or an active infection on the day of the appointment, the skin is treated first and the session is postponed.
How many sessions will I need for the bikini area?
The plan usually starts with a package of 6 sessions, every 45 to 60 days. Hair in the intimate area is coarse and responds well, but hair color, skin type and the hormonal component all play a role. With polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), progress is usually slower and more sessions may be needed.
How much does bikini laser hair removal cost?
It depends on the area and the number of sessions: bikini alone, bikini with underarms, or bikini with legs all change the price. There are 6-session packages and touch-ups. You receive written prices at the free consultation, along with your plan. Your consultation at iki is free · 45 minutes.
